The Brief

Following its success last autumn, Multiteateret and MINT Sentralen present If We Stand Still once again, with a new premiere on March 6. Told from the perspective of one of many descendants of South Vietnamese boat refugees, the production gives voice to those who are rarely heard. Through this exclusive evening, the audience is invited into a vulnerable and necessary conversation about inheritance, identity, and the struggle over history. Thuy-Linda Luu is a director, actor, musician, entrepreneur, physician, and the founder of Multiteateret. She works at the intersection of theatre, music, and social engagement. Her acclaimed performance If We Stand Still weaves together personal stories, memories, and songs into a drama shaped by generational differences, silence, and hope. Can trauma be inherited? What happens when children ask questions their parents cannot - or will not - answer? Who truly owns the story of what happened, and how do we move forward from there?
