With his signature sound – deep, earthy and simultaneously experimental – he creates atmospheres that make the hall tremble. Amund Maarud is the guitar hero who refuses to be pigeonholed. He has redefined Norwegian blues and shattered the boundaries between rock, roots and psychedelic improvisation. Jarle Vespestad is the drum phenomenon who has set the standard for rhythmic elegance and dynamics in Norwegian jazz.
