Reservoir Dogs

Tarantino's iconic debut film. This is Quentin Tarantino's landmark debut. The film didn't do so well in the USA, but Tarantino was nonetheless declared Hollywood's savior. A simple crime story is here cut into small pieces. The key scenes have ended up in the trash and the rest is assembled in a seemingly arbitrary order. Tarantino focuses on the confrontation between the professional gangsters and their uncompromising personalities, letting the dialogue, cool and highly quotable, take center stage. He also served up a couple of extremely violent scenes – something that would become standard for his films.
