STUPELØKKA TAKES OFF, WITH BRAND NEW MUSIC AT HERR NILSEN On Sunday 18 October, Stupeløkka invites you to a very special evening at Herr Nilsen. The barely one-year-old Oslo big band throws itself into its most ambitious project so far: This time they will play themselves. On the program is brand new music written by composers from the band's own ranks, songs created especially for Stupeløkka and the 19 young musicians who make up the ensemble. The audience thus gets to experience a big band that not only interprets others' music, but is in the process of developing its very own expression. Stupeløkka is a new and energetic Oslo-based big band with young musicians who share a strong passion for the big band format. Now they take the next step and present a concert filled with original music, new ideas, strong arrangements and great joy of playing. This will be an evening for those who want to experience tomorrow's big band music, while it is still piping fresh.
