A sensual and meditative cinematic journey. Unni Straume will be present at the screening. A young woman is traveling through Norway — but where is she really headed? Her journey triggers a parallel voyage back in time, to a childhood filled with people, encounters, and memories. The restless wandering takes on an existential resonance, as the woman’s voice attempts to make sense of where all these memory fragments belong, and what they mean. Along the way, she hitchhikes with a composer, a meeting that sparks new chains of thought reflected in the camera’s constant movement. This meditative and aesthetic exploration leaves generous room for sensory immersion, and Straume’s debut invites comparisons to Tarkovsky, Angelopoulos, and Bergman. Cinematographer: Harald Paalgard Conversation before the film Before the screening, Unni Straume will join a conversation with Åge Hoffart, head of the Norwegian Film Academy.
