Description
For the Youth
Just under a month after the terrorist attacks of 22 July, Rebekka is about to start upper secondary school. She didn’t know any of those who died, and thinks she should be able to get back to everyday life. She tries to throw herself into the school revue, Daniel with the curly hair, parties, school and friends. The only problem is that she can’t stop thinking about it.
Ubesvart anrop (Missed Call) is about searching for meaning in the face of the meaningless. About how difficult it can be to reach out to one another, and how important it is when we manage to do so. It is also a story about friendships that endure, and about finding a way back.
When Riksteatret brings Nora Dåsnes’ award-winning graphic novel to the stage, 15 years after 22 July, the aim is to offer young people hope and help them make sense of their own feelings of unease in the face of an unsettled world.
By Nora Dåsnes. Adapted for the stage by Toril Solvang-Kayiambakis.
