Description
By and with Svein Tindberg and Kjetil Bjerkestrand
One day in May 2024, composer and musician Kjetil Bjerkestrand (70) had a thought he couldn't shake off: Doesn't the rest of humanity deserve an apology from our generation?
From men over seventy. For failure in the face of the climate crisis, injustice, hunger and poverty. For poor, downright immoral choices. For indifference. For having tolerated injustice for over seven decades.
Where many look away, Bjerkestrand and Svein Tindberg choose to look it straight in the eyes and turn it into art.
"Unnskyld" is a requiem that not only grieves, but also seeks. With Tindberg's texts and Bjerkestrand's music, and Beate S. Lech's voice carrying it all, this is a performance that dares to ask the difficult questions, and gives you room to sit with them.
What kind of hope is there for men over 70, and for all the rest of us?
